Week 3.

This week I chose the poem Tower Tigers Cheer (pg 81)
This is the poem i chose:
Tiger, tiger, burning bright,
Tiger power, Tiger might.
Pawed 'em,
Sawed 'em,
Ate 'em,
Gnawed 'em.
Tiger, tiger, burning bright,
Tiger power, Tiger might.
Trapped 'em,
Zapped 'em,
Floored 'em,
Rapped 'em.
Our immortal hand or eye,
We're Tiger power, hear our cry.
Tiger, tiger, burning bright,
Tiger power, Tiger might.

The rhyme scheme is : a,a,b,b,a,b,b,c,a
The way the poem is printed is in a cheer (song) kind of format.
My Connections: Our pep assebmly's cant go on without our victory cry!
and i play basketball with all my might.
What it means to me: This poem means that you can always do great with fans and supporters who help cheer you on with your "Tower Tiger Cheer."

  1. You're right, it does sound like a fight song. Did you notice the refrain? I have to admit our miss our school fight song. Wouldn't it be fun to have a music video (or something) with the song be our fight cheer? Could be interesting to see how it plays out.

  2. I forgot to enter the refrain: Tiger, tiger, burning bright,
    Tiger power, Tiger might.
Because they both keep coming up in the poem.
